The Spy Next Door (Trailer)
Sorry if there’s only a few posts this Thanksgiving week.
There isn’t really much to post, so I think I’ll just post this. The Spy Next Door is a family/comedy/Occupation Transformation film about a spy whose occupation is transformed into…a babysitter. Sigh.
Oceans (Trailer)
Here we have the trailer for Oceans, the second nature film from the Disneynature label (they gave us Earth a while back). This time the film just focuses on the five oceans of the planet and the creatures that inhabit them. The movie comes out in 2010.

I hope this one will be good. I liked Earth , but then it kinda turned out to be just a rehash of some scenes from the Discovery Channel hit series Planet Earth.
Pinnacle VideoSpin
I found this in an issue of PC World magazine.
Before you go to the computer store to buy a video editor, wait. Pinnacle VideoSpin, a freebie, might be all you need. The application is a little confusing, so here’s an explanation.
Here are the three main components.
- The Album. This is where you select your photos and videos.
- The Player, where you can preview your selected video clip.
- The Timeline. You can drag your media here to start creating your movie.
There are many fun and creative editing tools to choose from. You can pick transitions to nicely segway into your next video. Title templates can go at the beginning or end of your video. There is also a nice library of sound effects.
The one thing Pinnacle VideoStudio doesn’t have, compared to for-pay video editing programs, is video effects. They’re things that you can apply at a certain point in your video to invert the colors or make it black-and-white, to name a few. Also, you can’t resize the app, and if you want to burn a disc, you’re out of luck. But if you don’t want to pay a ton of money on a video-editing program, VideoSpin might do the trick.
Best free security apps
In this CNET TV video, the host shows some good examples of totally free antimalware applications. (You can find them all at download.com).

IMDB
I bet you’ve heard of the Internet Movie Database, but it’s still an interesting site. The IMDB hosts many articles, videos, and other content all about movies and TV. The homepage is very organized and you can access everything easily. The website has trailers for upcoming movies, a Holiday Movie Guide (now that it’s in full swing), movie news, TV news, a section about what happened on popular TV shows last night, and message boards all about your favorite TV shows and films. It also has movie times, movies coming soon, the top 5 movies, and more.
From CNETTV: The worst downloads of the fall
The other day I posted some downloads that might be helpful for starting a new computer, but let’s turn the tables. Here are the worst downloads–and by “worst” we mean “idiotic”–downloads of fall 2009.

Twelve new programs for your new (or current) computer
I found these videos on CNETTV.com.
If you bought a new computer, instead of installing every program you have, you might just want to start from scratch with some free programs. Here are CNET’s picks.

John’s Background Switcher
I found this on PCWorld.com.
This is a neat little program. If you’ve ever wanted to add some variety to your desktop background, this tool might do the trick. John’s Background Switcher lets you take pictures from picture sharing sites like Flickr and Photobucket, and the folders on your computer, to place them on your desktop. Then you can configure the program to change your desktop background at regular intervals.

Motorola Droid: Sneak peek
Now that the Motorola Droid is here, I thought now would be a good time to share this CNET video describing its features and things. Enjoy.

Motorola Droid commercial: "Stealth"
This is a really neat television commercial for the upcoming Motorola Droid, which is set to appear on Friday.
